If you're grabbed with one hand take your hand and go from the chest inside to outside, make an almost circular motion to get out of the grip.

i wanted to comment about a video of this guy made about stepping to the side when somebody jabs at you. you really have very little time to counter a jab… try doing that during sparring and you will see that you don't have enough time to do that
