I really hope the guy in the truck doesn't have any kids. As far as my actions, I would have Saud let's call the cops and sort this out. If she is a minor and your daughter we will figure that out.
Some young couples are into physical drama (or deception and then robbery) in front of random observers…and her choice to run to a customer instead of into the store would be a red flag for me.

Image video labeled girl on acid runs out gas station hides under guys truck her boy friend has to literally go get her in front of guy and carry her back to the car. We dunno what was said between them all by the truck might make total sense and be totally abstract from everyone's visual perceptions

you ask about the bystander, but ask what the woman should have done. Going into the store for help would've been better than playing this out in the parking lot. Make a scene in the store. Lock yourself in the bathroom.

I don't blame people for not helping. With how crazy he world is is general it's way too big of a risk in these kinds of situations.
To does who would try to help. Kudos to you for having a great deal of empathy (and balls) but hopefully you are aware of the consequences should the incident you fall into is a trap. Do anything you can to help protect yourself just in case.

I stepped in years ago when a guy was beating a woman. One of the most vicious assaults I have ever witnessed. I ended up going toe to toe with the guy and held my own until the police arrived, which was thankfully almost immediately. Took a few punches, but I got my licks in too. The woman cursed me out even though she needed surgery from the beating.The police thanked me for likely saving her life, but said I was lucky to be in one piece as the guy was "the most wanted man in Grey/Bruce County" Not so sure what I would have done in this particular situation as I'm a lot older and wiser now…
1st off I live in SLC and I think this really sucks! I, after watching your channel carry pepper spray and have a Sig Sour .380 I carry concealed. I hope I'm never in this situation, but I would like to think that I would give the guy "Bless the deserving with the hot sauce" a shot of pepper spray just to cool his jets and then try and get the woman to a safe location until police arrive and try and figure out the situation. I truly hope it would not escalate to the point the .380 would come into play… Of course, the other comments are dually noted but this is a heat of the moment scenario not a Monday morning QB situation. Great training videos John, keep 'em coming. PS I made my comment before the training portion of your video started (a bad habit of mine) so I probably made all the wrong choices.
