In Martin County Florida Corrections Institution I once saw a guy get a new sharpened pincel rammed more than half way into his outside eye socket that blinded him forever but did nothing to discourage him from wanting to continue the fight with the guy who stuck the pincel into his eye. What backed him down was the open threat from the eye poker that if he continued to fight with him (which he was preparing to do) he would poke his other eye out completely blinding him as the attacker still had the pincel in his hand ready to use it again. The guy with his eye poked out, stood there for a while thinking about it then decided it wasn't worth fighting the guy and losing his other eye. My point is there were no signs of the guy being in pain like would be if you raked his eye with your fingers like being shown in this video. Poking eyes out with something will not πŸ›‘ the fight, where raking the eyes with your hand blinding him works better. See Martin County Florida's prison video around 2016 – 2018.

Except in a street fight if someone has the other guy like that positioned for a knee strike, buddy is going to take a bite out of the attackers throat. Ive seen it. Street fights are wild and there are no rules or hesitations. The advice about the eye gouging is spot on though! Spread the fingers and get in there

Make sure eyes get busted. When he goes down fron knee, kick his jewels. Bust then. There is pain that hurts and pain that alters. Always go for altering pain.

Discriminate with kicks and knees. Keep your feet on the ground. He said it. Your threat is their forward energy. πŸ’ͺ

I was trained to place your thumb on the part of the eye that's closest to the nose, apply pressure, and scoop, not with your fingers. Everyone learns something different.

I used to practice poking wire hangers with paper on them for the cleaners. Would susoend and swing trying to poke through the paper. My accuracy was on point. Headbutt to the mouth/nose is game over as well.

This is one of a few martial arts channels that gives easy to understand tidbits of information that is practical in a street fight. You have to really know your art to make it this digestible. Much respect πŸ«ΈπŸ‘Š
