Ounces equals pounds guys. Don’t make yourself a slower, easier target for your enemy all because you want to add excess gear. The lighter you are, the more agile, the more agile the more lethal.

I need to know… how can i get a plate carrier set up light as can be… I have a back injury that doesn't lend well to breathing with my plates on.

what would military do if the Butterfly was caught in the spider web. And there was bunch of spiders killing butterflies prior. Would the military take action. In the easy catch of the butterfly surrounded by spiders at that right moment. To kill the spiders before they killed more butterflies. metaphor. Nature is nature. But when it comes to human. Its a different story. Cause the butterflies vary in age groups. And the spiders do not care what age the butterfly is. Good opportunity to catch the spiders right about then,.

I still have my ALICE gear for whatever emergency gear I might need. From the 1970's and 1980's. Looks like it's high time to upgrade to MOLLE gear.

Wholeheartedly agree! KISS (Keep it simple stupid) on gear setup. Only put mission mission necessities on the plate carrier. Everything else in your assault pack.

I like keeping a slick carrier/IBA/IOTV and rocking a battle brassiere (FLC, Alice, Tac Tailor) up high, Rhodesian-style.
I found carrying the weight up high is more comfortable to me. Also if you have to hand-off equipment it makes a great bandolier.

The only special equipment I absolutely need to add is a spoon. I have at least seven mags. I might need 210 rounds. I will need to eat!
