Bus driver only got fired for going back for more? Glad DA decided not to charge the driver because the elderly aggressor deserved it. Was the elderly guy also charged with attempted busjacking as well? LOL

I recently migrated from taxi-cab to transit operator and I will say with only two weeks of in-service training under my belt, I've already seen some crazy people do crazy things.

Personally, I think the operator took it too far and I'm not surprised they were fired. But still, nobody is considering the amount of rage someone would feel when being attacked out of the blue for no apparent reason and how you might react in that type of situation.

PS. Buses don't have keys, but that was kinda funny to hear.

Well the police didndt charge him because they do the educational beatdown themselves.

Buses like that don't have keys. Drive select switch in the left cluster and a toggle / push to start. Old dumbass just didn't know and was playing with the telescopic adjustment handle.

Fu.. yeah. That was dope. Nice chest kick. It's funny, you say it's wrong for a civilian to kick a guy who is trying to get away from cops, a guy who hit him with a metal cane. Really John, Really! But it's totally fine when a swarm of cops beat on one guy with his hands cuffed. It's ok when a handcuffed man gets shot in the head by cops. Smh.

imo, i think the kick to the face on the bus was acceptable. yeah, maybe not legal and jury may not like that, but i think it was acceptable. what happened off the bus though, even though it was deserved, i cant bring myself to justify the actions. the driver did the right thing by walking away, but should have stayed away from that point just so it looks better and in case the older guy had a gun or something more significant than just his cane.

Not what I’d call a textbook rear teep (Muay Thai front kick) but it was effective. No reason to beat the guy down a second time though.

    : a word,,
your response needs to be "completely in the moment and through" to avoid becoming the aggressor in the eyes of the law..

@ 3:18, the word is *"wherewithal!"
    a duty to act,
to stay in the assault mindfully and tolerate the attack while you retaliate to the situation…

In CT this is normal….try to defend yourself from a bad guy. The good guy goes to jail.

I disagree. The first kick in the bus was a continuum of his self defense. That kick prevented the attacker possibly getting control of the bus and gave defender space to safely turn off the bus and remove the keys. With the 2nd kick notice the attacker was approaching him although there adequate space to go elsewhere. The defender took preemptive action to protect from a second attack.
