Anybody with a third grade education should use common sense to never enter a place where you know there is a cartel. Please use that little pea brain that you have.

I got some tickets for disobeying two redlights, because I believed I would be robbed/carjacked. Cop pulled me over a half mile away for it. Told him and he said, "There's no excuse."
I'm not sure how to plea and I can't afford a lawyer.

i lived i LA and rented a house in Rosaarito next to Tijuana for 2 years. Tacoma white truck in good shape, California plates, I never had any problems. I dont know about Texas border areas, but what I felt was the last thing the Mexican government wants is news bout American citizens getting assaulted in Mexico. Also I visited Ensenada, further south with family, very young kids, nieces and nephews years before me renting the house. We could not find a hotel, so we decided to just park at a parking lot to rest. We had police coming up every 15 minutes cheking up on us, they apparently put on radio about us parked in this parking lot and was on the lookout. This video doesnt prove that this was a cartel group. Probably was a simple shakedown, but not to take your car. If you do not give, they will not do anything, they prey on people who do panic and get scared. But there is no proof that this group was cartel.

Used to go every year as a kid to my family’s home town, nowadays it’s a pretty bad area as of now, I haven’t gone in a few years and I honestly don’t have plans to go soon… I’m good.

Staying in your car can also prevent them from getting your face as if you escaped into Mexico then they would probably try to hunt you down which would also be the case if they attempted to take your life but you fought back whilst escaping them.

My BIL is the only person I know of who crossed at Neuvo Laredo… he did so at night, likely for drugs, and got stabbed, probably stiffed, and then shanked for his troubles. I've been to Tijuana and Ensenada, both were experiences (for which I wasn't exactly looking). In Tijuana we saw a legit street knife fight in the middle of the dirt street, locked hands, knives back… yipes… we kept driving and not many in our bus noticed that lol. In Ensenada there were dudes staring us down hard, fortunately we were all ripped college students (three dudes and two girls) and it was all daytime, but definitely unsafe, though the most amazing beach (gold dust/sand, warm water). Oh yeah, also in Tijuana, I asked in spanglish for fireworks.. "wait here."… 10m later, dude hombre returns with quarter sticks. Now, how is a 14 year old going to try to cross the border with explosives while returning from a church missions trip? lol

The best way to protect yourself from a carjacking in Mexico…is to not go to Mexico.

5:01 look at the height of that curve, no standard truck would clear that, he did the right thing and not jump the curb, might have got stuck

Police dont let civilians from other countries carry guns because their paid by the cartels not the citizens, therefore they dont have the same rights as cartels do its sick
