When is comes to knife self defense the first option is to RUN! But sometimes the situation does not allow you the space to do so. Defending against a knife is one of the hardest things to do. Kevin shows us one of his favourite options to create enough space from your attacker to run or deploy your own weapon.

Great video thankyou, my question is however, what would happen if you missed his attacking right hand….you'd get cut. Its so easy to do in a street fight, even more so when meth is involved – believe me. A lot of what you learn in classes unfortunately goes out the window when you're in the street anyway.
To survive, Id crash in (as in a Krav Maga crash using major muscle movements as opposed to minor muscle movements), then trap the attackers right arm close to my body with my left arm over hooking, and lastly shut his computer down or deal out a series of headbutts/biting his nose/eye gouging/whatever. All the time pushing the attacker backwards.
My 2 cents. Would love to know your thoughts on this. Thanks.

I really like you emphasizing getting the F away if you can. But despite being the fastest of my peers i don't see myself leaving anyone behind, wich kinda pins me to go in instead.
    Thx for your output.

Your presentation makes it. The way you verbally explain while showing- Much more understanding and organized than most. Plus the reality of your lessons is everything.
