What we were taught when issued the MICH was if you removed some of the pads you lowered the blast protection. Putting yourself in greater risk of being wounded.
I always liked when we got to winter time. Id just take all the pads out and wear my knit watch cap. Worked just fine, except for when it'd start out cold in the morning and get warm later and I'd have to find time to put all the pads back in
I tell dudes all the time, the MICH/ACH helmets aren't bad. You're just an idiot who didn't size it right and doesn't have the proper pad setup.
What a wealth of tactical knowledge this man and his team are! Glad him and those like him are on our side
Cringe
Comfort and balance baby
Somebody got a suggestion on a good helmet that won’t break the bank?
Standing in a pit for hours through the night with nods on weighing the front of your head down gives a killer headache.
my helmet doesn't have that many adjustments put on your head and hope it fits I'm referring to the old M1 steel helmet in Australia we're not allowed to own Kevlar helmet or body armour it is illegal but you can own a tin hat or M1 pot
Based mich
The stuttering is annoying
I follow a tone of tactical channels. Carl is the only one that part from Gucci staff, always finds time to tell as about the every day little things that make our lives in the Army comfortable.
Uhhhh, why didn’t you put the helmet on and demonstrate with ear protection?
Question Karl: would a quality tactical helmet work in ice/rock climbing, snow mobile use, downhill skiing? Rookie question but I have now knowledge in this area. Thanks!
"…setting up your helmet for proper use…"
So turning the Mitchell-pattern cover on my M1 helmet counts, right? Right?
keeping it basic, love it.
personally, if i can't get gucci team wendy helmet pads, those thinner ones that circulate air, i take the time to cut down issue pads. cut em open, take out about half of the foam padding, sew it back up. keeps the jumpmasters happy and CSM from chewing my ass about non-issue equipment
How many words do I need?
Great info as always. Thanks
Is there a particular helmet that you recommend? Do you have a list of helmets in different price ranges?
