Encountering an attacker with a knife is never a place you want to be. Worse is to train techniques that could only lead to you being hurt more. Kevin teaches a simple modification to a commonly taught technique that gives you a greater chance of avoiding the knife and even getting away.

Double block, grab wrist and elbow, rotate and break everything by pulling wrist, hyperextending arm and palm heel to elbow. Then apologize while shaking hand vigorously.

Hey bro I don't understand why nobody ever mentions an Americana ( from the standing position obviously) type wrist lock? Bring it down immediately and then go from there? It's something I've tried before and seems to work…what do u think?

Because I'm resigned that I'll get cut in a knife attack, I won't die getting cut in a knife attack.

Hi, how are you, your videos are very interesting, but it would be even cooler, if they had subtitles in Spanish, since I'm from Chile… I hope you don't mind my request… Ossu!!

En serio busca un parry de tu estatura, eso ayudaría mucho con la dinámica.

There are so many variables in a knife attack. The only thing that's sure to happen if you stay engaged for very long is you will get cut. Buying time to get away is a good call Kevin. Great tips as usual. 🙏

The key to A.N.Y dangerous situation is ORA- ET-LABORA (pray and work/out). Train HARD in martial arts EVERY DAY starting/ending it with a quick prayer. Why? Because much of the outcome of ANY situation depends on "Divine intervention". Ask people who've been involved in MANY fights and they'll tell you that there is a something called " Luck" involved (if they won't say "GOD") which augments one's capability in a dangerous situation.
