Iron sights. I consider myself to be entry level still. I’ve improved significantly in accuracy with my 9 mm pistol, but I still can’t shoot a long gun accurately to save my life. It’s kinda frustrating.

I'd like a red dot for pistol but agencies won't buy them
Those officers in the unmarked cars were key to stopping this guy before he could have killed the people in these cars. If the officers weren't as close as they were and had great draw and marksmanship, then this could have ended much worse.
I don't even think the perp knew these cars were actually officers all the way up until he showed FIBSA.

Saying the red car should have accelerated is beyond stupid. Walk out to your car right now, stand at the bumper to see what the gun man would have seen and tell me shotgun guy wouldn't just execute your stupid ass for giving him no choice. There's nowhere you can duck or hide if the guy who sees you are trying to run him down decides to pull the trigger. If his back is turned or he's otherwise occupied, fine, go for it but when he's pointing the gun right at your face you're just an idiot committing suicide doing that. Their first step should have been to already be reversed for room to move the moment someone randomly stops in front of your car. There is about zero good reason for someone to do that so start moving the moment it happens. You see him jump out with a gun and you can already be cutting to the right and flooring it out of there.

i put a red dot on one of my 9mm. as a newer shooter I realized that unless I can have a red dot on all my pistols I am doing a disservice to myself and potentially others if I am proficient with a red dot (which I do find easier to use) and not with iron sights- so unless I can have a red dot on every pistol I need to be proficient with irons- so I took the red dot off and only run irons.

as a veteran…always learn how to use your weapon in its most basic form. Dots, scopes, etc are great but just be prepared because you may have to use another weapon in your self defense that dosent have a red dot and or what if the battery dies or is not working?

Example: somebody 1 meter from your car window with a sawn off shotgun and you are suggesting for the driver to accelerate with an average car, and try to kill the purp with the car. Do you know what a sawn off shotgun is and what would happen to not only the driver but all the passangers in that car ? Can you make a video to show what would happen if someone shot a shown off shotgun at a car window, please do have cameras inside the car to see how all the passengers will get hit at the same time.
