I work in the office in that video and it was disgusting that there were huge murals and people standing out there with anti cop signs for months after this happened. They picked a photo of him as a kid and totally skewed who he was and claimed he was an unarmed man shot by the cops.

Seems to be a KIA band on one of the officers. The ones who are military vets seem to do better in these situations for obvious reasons. I would rather work with people who have a minimum of 3 years in a combat arms MOS or military police with deployments than people with a CJ bachelors and a 4-6 month academy. The heavy and rapidly improving/evolving training combined with real world experience of the GWOT has produced an excellent and seasoned candidate pool for LE agencies at all levels. Some leverage this fact, others don’t.

The 2nd officer gets the suspect cuffed and immediately starts life-saving procedures. It’s crazy what cops do. One moment that guy is trying to kill them and the next moment they are rendering him first aid.
