To my mind, it's all about how you are trained for self defense against a knife and how serious intentions has your attacker, how brutal he (or she) is. Not every attacker wants to stab you- some of them want only your money, your car…Give this shit and prey if your attacker leaves you alive. What is the point of that kind of training?? To increase your chance of surviving. However, nobody has 100% guarantee to survive against a knife. But to have some skills in self defense is worth that sweat and time.

Too all the "know it alls" who knock the guy, going up against someone who is on his level is not going to turn out well for you.
I have been through knife defense training at a police academy and the instructor had us try stabbing or slashing him. It was a painful experience, for us.
The naysayers just don't know what someone on his level is capable of. And, one more thing, running away is a great option, if you can. In a crowd, or on a bus or elevator, where are you running to?
There needs to be a law against trying to promote this Bullshito. You took nothing away. Somebody needs to take some of your snacks away there chubs.
