Most police officers aren’t excellent shots; most don’t get enough range time to be awesome marksman! But this officer has clearly put in some work. When this officer made a 75 foot shot to protect his partner, he had all the attitude, skill, and plan he needed to make it count.

Always the same scene, victims of domestic violence call the police, police respond, perp pulls a gun, they take the ground temperature challenge, then the caller gets upset because the cop shot their loved one.
I went the the U.S.A.F. Police Academy, and part of our range training was to run 50 yards, drop and do 25 pushups, and then fire our pistol at a target 10 yards away. The logic is, when a situation gets crazy, your heart rate alone can throw your accuracy off. Youd be surprised at how hard it is (at first, anyway) to hit a target like that! Great shot, awful situation.
He was suicidal, well… He succeed!
Great job of marksmanship and doing what his training taught him. Thank you Officer.
25 yards against a man sized target standing still with a full sized handgun isn't a difficult shot. Especially for a trained police officer. He did his job.
Other cop took off never looked back lol
wow Amazing shot
Good Shot,That Was Spot On !
I'm glad the back door officer outran the bullets.
. I understand his sister's reaction but was more trouble than anything else in this danger situation.
I guess I’m the only one who thinks that was a bit unnecessary. Apparently it’s shoot first, ask questions later. Whaaaaatever. Great shot in the back though.
Good work!
What a good shot. That’s more like 40 to 45 yards but as fast as he did it, it’s impressive.
What a beast. Into position, poised, controled, on target. Everything you want in a partner.
WOW!! Officer Walsh. Talk about got your 6 the whole call. 1.8 seconds for shot like that. God bless you Sir! Amazing truly
hey John…you have long curly hair now…… huh? huh? does the five years ago you think thatd ever happen?….lol…reviewing the retro vids…
I love ur channel but this is bullshit…..you can do better……
30 yards would be 90 feet, not 75.
That was an incredible shot. He is truly amazing.
That’s a hell of a shot after sprinting and being pumped.
All action taken by the officer is justifiable IMHO but I wonder what would have happened if the woman didn't call the cops? The man's rifle was inoperable which likely means he wasn't about to take his own life and wasn't interested in hurting anyone else. He might have just cooled down if he was left alone.

She was yelling please don't shoot him. What does she expect when he has a gun and is actively trying to shoot the police? Do these idiots think they are just going to let him kill the officer? I do not understand people. If my brother was being an idiot and decided to point a gun at officers, he deserves to be shot. She is definitely responsible for his death, she called the cops.
Really good shot!
Really good shot!
Now that man spent some time at the range! Running across the yard exposing himself to the shooter coming out the door was not wise.
Fuck me that was an amazing shot
