The late instructor once did a piano wire/rope around the neck self-defense lesson. Even though I knew I was safe, of all the lessons, that one intimidated me the most.

What if it doesn't happen exactly the way you had demonstrated there – as you pulled that leash tight (part). What if the attacker just pulls it in tight and doesn't turn to the opposite direction to flip the guy? What if the attacker just pulls it in tight and just chokes the shit out of the victim?
