We get asked to test a lot of expensive ammo. That’s a great problem to have.

Lot’s of the pistol ammo performs great… as far as pistol ammo goes.

However, no matter how great it performs, it’s just not gonna hold a candle to a decent rifle.

2024…. dollar collapsing hard. 556 for 1k rds=500 buck. 9mm for 1k rds= 250. Running sub 9 is cheaper… until they catch on that thats what people are doing then that will sky rocket.

Realistically, this probably the use of each weapons types.

    Sniper Rifles
    -Long Range Shooting
    -Hunting

Normally stays behind enemy lines to provide info and support fire and hunting big animals. Sadly, some snipers exceeding .308 are long, heavy and slow (which cant engage multiple targets) and will be outbeaten by short, light and fast guns (which can engage multiple targets).

    Shotguns
    -Self Defense (buckshot)
    -Hunting (slug)
    -Breaching (buckshot)
    -Anti Vehicle (slug)

Good for defending against 1 or 2 targets or moving targets. Slug can take down some vehicle. However, its too risky at close range against ARs, SMGs or LMGs.

    Sub Machine Guns
    -Close Range Suppressing Fire

Light weight and compact, its high rate of fire and controllability allows easy and fast movement and endgagements, . However, most cant penetrate body armor and has lesser effective range.

    Light Machine Guns
    -Medium Range Suppressing Fire

Contrary to SMGs, they use rifle round, have longer barrels, are heavier and are mostly used stationary but they also are used for suppressing fire. Use them behind people using ARs and SMGs.

    Assault Rifles
    -Long Range Shooting
    -Hunting
    -Close Self Defense
    -Close Range Suppressing Fire
    -Medium Range Suppressing Fire

Mostly has characteristics of Shotguns, Snipers, SMGs and LMGs and can penetrate Body Armor.

    Defensive Handguns
    -Concealed Carry
    -Close Range Self Defense
    -Close Range Combat
    -Fast Switch
    -Great Back Up Weapon
-Great For Getting To Your Main Gun

ARs and Hanguns are probably the most versatile weapons. I would say choose a pistol/hangun over shotguns for close range combat. However, I would be okay using Shotguns for close range self defense.

Rifle cartridge’s terminal effect always trumps pistol cartridges. Also, it’s easier to shoot rifles… only benefits pistols have is light weight, carry convenience, and generally speaking, non-gun people tend to frown when we carry rifles around,

All the dead people rolling in their graves knowing “cheap, crap” M193 ended their lives, lol. It’s not that, but rather economical in nature that will kill or severely wound… ask Kyle’s assailants, lol

Both seem to me to be good for home defense, as 9mm one will kill someone, just as the rifle caliber type will! But I noticed you used a handgun 9mm 124 grain then used a rifle! Why not do this again using a PCC rifle instead of a handgun? Then the test would be comparable!

Great video, but I wonder how the gel is compared to our body? Would a 556 go through a human body? Then it doesn’t matter what effect it does. If the gel is closer softness to our bodies then definitely would do some damage. I don’t think I’m making any sense lol 😅

In my opinion, if you’re within shotgun ranges, that’s the best. 00Buck 3” magnum doesn’t play.

I personally love all firearms each caliber is unique in its own way and have there own purpose and everybody has a personal preference personally what I keep close is a FMK 9mm ball ammo sometimes hollows but as he said are you trying to stop the threat without death or end a life that’s on you, Mossberg 500 with either bird shot or a slug and .556/.223 Diamondback AR 15 I’m definitely getting my 30-06 ,762 ,308, .45 and 10mm

Hollow point are for wussies, it pretty much says , "I want my target to suffer before it dies", why not be a real man and put a bullet between its eyes. There is a reason why hollow points were banned in war.

That 5.56/.223 rifle will blow out the bad guys lungs 🫁 and your wife's ear drums 🥁.
That's OK, your kids won't need their hearing.
9mm pcc suppressed with 30 round mags is my choice. 🤗

Great info SGM, complete eye opener. I assumed that because the 5.56 had more velocity it would easily penetrate the gel block through and through. With this info I can plan on applying the safer option to use in the house. 9mm is still an option in certain situations obviously but now I will have to rethink using 5.56 inside my dwelling as the better alternative. I'll have to do my own tests of course to verify but thanks to you and the video I'm going to have to restructure my thoughts on the 5.56 being the better option for inside the house protection. By the way, to heck with all the haters.

This is the 1st time I'm watching a video like this + I'm amazed at how this guy refers to his ammo as "sexy" + seems to forget that these weapons + ammunition KILL LIVING BEINGS!!!
