We talk about shifting the weight a lot and hitting with the unweighted limb to drive the power. What is your lineage?

    I call BS!
You are twice you opponent's size. Besides your weight and strength giving you easy stability, you have longer reach. For the smaller defender (bullies seldom pick on someone their own size) a quick snap kick of the toe to the knee will destabilize the bully and hitting someone off balance is easy, the same goes for throwing them. An elbow to the head will finish the job.

I remember decades back,as child how easy it was to grab someone's leg/foot if he kicks.Ridicuosly easy. All you see is brave kicker who is helplessly hopping on one feet, struggling to keep balance.

My 12 yo son and I are watching and we just subscribed. Want to learn some self-defense moves. May I ask how tall you are vs. your partner in this video? You look like a giant in certain angles.

    Thank you for the demonstration!

    Depends on what you practice.
I know some people who can kick your head FASTER than you could lift your hand to block or dodge your head.
    Take that !!!

If you know how to box you won't need to kick lmao. Most punks that are jumping people ain't got hands. Especially against a boxer

Kicking keeps you at a safer distance. Once you land a. Couple of powerful kicks , close in and use hand techniques. If your balance is poor and your kicks can be grabbed, you lack sufficient skills to kick

honestly i dont understand what is this guy trying to say with these scripted situations. any bullshido master can do this slomo bullshit against a guy that is not using any defense and counterattack . in real street fight you will have to face adversity and adjust to different situation. Even the first punch of the small guy was amateur af and after that he just freezed and did nothing. Give him some better opponent to see whether he can actually do something.

This is so different than what I learned boxing and just plain street fighting… I like this guys ground work but after the slap hit me I'd be throwing the right hook to the body (since both his hands are to my left side) throwing this whole rythm off … Just my experience

I'd say at minimum you have to flinch lock them before throwing a kick. Nothing worse than getting your leg grabbed and wrestled to the hard ground.
