Not having a size advantage can be a tough place to be in a self defense situation. Which is another reason to put in some time to your training, knowing the right techniques and body mechanics will help level the playing field and may even give you the upper hand in an attack.

As a guy who doesn’t “suffer from height”, knowing how to defend against a possible attacker with a height advantage is always good to know! Thanks for posting!

I like the move. One question – on the initial move with the right arm, aren’t you vulnerable for an arm bar if your opponent is quick enough to react?
    Just a thought…

    As always, great video 👍

If you have a good strike and don't want to do the takedown, you can go from the light double-wrist tie to a short hook or elbow strike. I saw a real bar fight where a guy used a left hook after the light double wrist hold to KO the opponent before also quickly KO’ing the opponent’s friend with a 1-2 (or 7-2) punch combo.

Good technique if you practice live.👍What beats speed? Size and strength.
What beats size and strength? Speed.
Those are facts. If you're smaller but have good knowledge and training, then all you need is to be faster than the larger steonger opponent. Thats my opinion and I'm sticking to it.👍🥋

Great!! What I personally like doing on shoulder lock, usually I turn out a little bit to put some shoulder pressure. That works for me well! Thanks! OSS
