Okay, Okay; first let me say this is NOT the qualification for the CIA. It is for a different “Other Government Agency.”
They asked that we do NOT share the name of the agency. I know it is already “open source”, but I respect their wishes.
So, for all you monkeys trying to show off that you know: SHUT the F#CK Up.
It is still a fun test that only takes 30rds of ammo; which is a big deal when ammo is hard to find.
Now, before you guys start bashing Chad and Imri for “Shooting like Shit;” I want to remind everyone that, unlike other channels, we don’t mind showing mistakes; and this was also literally their FIRST TIME EVER even hearing about this qualification. Zero rehearsals; Zero warm ups; Zero Re-shoots. Plus, to add to the pain, we held these two monkeys to only “high A-zone” hits, which is our personal standard at Tactical Rifleman.
The whole point of this test was to show that you need to get out of your “normal” drills & tests, and try new drills, to make the mind work. We even had Chad run this “Pistol” qualification with his Rifle; not to screw him, but to show it doesn’t matter… work through the task and complete the drill. If you only practice one test, you will only be good at one test. Try every manipulation and drill you can find, and you will have a subconscious mind honed by training that will not let you down at the moment of truth.
Here’s the standards for you to try this at home:

Crayon eating marine! Hilarious
Older video but it popped up on my YouTube feed today.
Karl, you are a great teacher , explain it easily and funny to boot.
Not many people can teach people like that.
I don’t blow smoke up peoples back side but when I see something good,.. I compliment them.
You got skills not just at tactics but instructing others.
Cheers and enjoy the morning coffee.
Meter-or yard obstacle shooting
Would you happen to know what APFS, NAICS code etc, you enter to find gov contracts seeking firearm training instructors, live fire drills/ weapons system training or active shooter training? Thanks
Superb Skills and very informative. It is good to know some of the skills our frontline government staff need to have.
Maybe if Emory had his mag pouches in/close to his work zone he wouldve made the speed reload
Why all 7 yards Jw? Thanks great video
If your boom-stick must go boom 6 times in 3 seconds, and you have 1 bullet holder, how many bullets do you have to load in your bullet holder?
32 on the ASVAB is still passing 😂
This test is actually pretty good indicator where your shortcomings lie. Can enhance your manual of arms on Ars/aks, shotguns and Da/sa pistols too.
Distance?
Good vid except dude talks SO MUCH.
Im an SWI agent
Is this the new test for the IRS army?
too much talking
Thanks for another awesome training video. I would name Task #6 modified El Presidenty. Both of the shooters did a fantastic job. Not many of us that can shoot as well as they did. Speaking for my self, I would be excited to shoot close to their times. I have an advantage, as I know what I need to work on.
Ii was going to say, this definitely isnt the GRS qual.
Why can't you say "IRS"? They don't keep their tests secret and these are the IRS pistol qualifications tests.
"Work with the weapon in your hands" does a "wife" count as a weapon?
love the shooting drills. love that you dont edit out mistakes. it is realistic and everyone of us will run this and learn better compared to the "tactical drills" that have zero mistakes and focus on getting all the perfectly tacticool shots for the video which makes it so unrealistic.
5 shots just has a rythmic quality to it
It's pretty obviously the test for 00 agents…..it's what James Bond had to go through 😀
Is this the new test for the IRS ? 😁 That TR1 is a sexy rifle. Hopefully mine will be here before too much longer. (I ordered it in April!)
Excellent stuff! I never knew the OGA (U.S. Dept. of Basket Weaving) had this test! But seriously, all good drills AND tracking your progress (keeping notes, etc.) is an excellent way of getting better. 👍
Is this for the 87,000 armed IRS agents? XD
I counted 6 both times.
If chad would learn to shoot right he would crush it LOL
2nd Bde 502nd here!
I bet Emory can shoot better than most of those no name gov agencies..
Emory is shooting from a compressed ready position or possibly sul position not a low ready. Therefore he prob actually passed all the drills where he should’ve started at a low ready.
That one second segway commercial break music is from L.A. Noire. HA! I gotchu Carl!
Loved the video….Oooh Raah.
Stage 5 – one time l to r; then r to l
Karl…stage 4 is a speed reload. No emergency slide lock. Scenario is your in a fire fight and you don't know how many rounds left in your mag so you do a speed reload with a fresh mag.
On stage 3 just have the dude put six rounds in the mag ….geez….come on Karl….lol
I know the agency you are referring to Karl. I use this 7 stage qualification on a very regular basis to maintain my skill set since we know firearm skills are perishable. It was glad to meet you at the NRA convention in Houston 2022. Thx. for the Tactical Rifleman patch. I am that old jarhead.
This is great to set your bar
You recommend that we take as many training courses/tests as we can. Here in Central Illinois, we have a number of indoor and outdoor ranges. They all concentrate on CCW. Very rarely is a rifle course offered. The outdoor ranges don't allow us to move around while shooting. Sure, we could come to your facility and take a course. But we wouldn't be able to practice what we learned when we got home. Things need to change if people are to become proficient and able to protect America if SHTF. What do you recommend we do?
These times might seem quick for non-competitive shooters, but the standards are easily achievable after just a month or two training to shoot for USPSA (not necessarily shooting the matches, but just training to their standards).
If you can’t make these times with a pistol or rifle, I don’t think you’re doing much training…you might be shooting a bunch, but that’s different than training.
💯💯👏👏🔝👌
Always come prepared. Your life is at stake.
After you shot five at your earliest convenience would you mind sending one more round down range please…..I would really appreciate it, Thank you for your time and commitment..
Chad the G.O.A.T. Greatest Of All Time, nice shooting and training guys!! Love the channel.
Couldn't agree more, if you're comfortable, and you don't make mistakes, then you're not pushing your limits to improve yourself. Great drills, thanks for sharing.
I tried watching this guy's video. Just couldn't stomach it. Please suggest a different video from this channel.
This guy sounds a bit like coach Steve from BigMouth
Very good video, but I don’t think it was fair. All 3 of you should have had to shoot. That way they could give you crap also. I have been enjoying all y’all’s content and just subscribed. Keep up the excellent videos.
I’ve seen people shoot this qualification in Atlantic City…..
Love it how he starts the video off talking about how they hold themselves to a higher standard by shooting only the a zone, and then his guys proceed to fail the tests. Not to mention the stances…..Jesus h Christ
I use to work for that agency, too bad I can't say who it is. Great video!
