The structure of your punch makes a big difference in how hard you hit and how likely those hits are going to deter an attacker.

It totally depends on what punch is being thrown. I definitely prefer a more vertical jab, as well as shovel punches

Im not pissed, but I just prefer a little more distance before impact, and ability to pivot and put my shoulder behind my punch. Which is just a bit better than elbow behind the punch. I also like twisting my punches as much as possible. It just feels good. Can even break about 3 boards by simply twisting my hand from downwards palm to upwards and can really feel the force behind the movement. Dont really understand it but I feel it

You couldn't even hit a pad that was held still 😂😂😂😂 the angle of the all depends on what part of the body your striking and what punch your throwing

I like your style however you didn’t plant your power side back foot in the proper position for a power strike and use your hips for all the power. But we will let you slide I know you just concentrated on the strike.

All you did was do a snap twist at the end. Instead of twist while it’s fires from the hip like they do in sport combative styles.

Same with the 45⁰ , it's just what comes naturally, but also I saw a guy talking the other day about how you're much less likely to get boxers fractures with some angle on it, instead of a traditional boxing strike.

That is exactly how I punch. As an former Boxer I found my wrist folding when I was not wearing wraps. I researched this and found a brilliant article on it. The radius and ulna pinch the muscles in your forearm when you rotate it beyond that point. I made a video about it with more detail but never posted it.

Very good, I personally agree I tried to not limit anything potential strike I can make but the 45° feels most comfortable and powerful at the same time. Personally I feel so it depends on the angle I'm coming in at my target. I trained Wing Chun for 3 years when I was a teenager and I'm a smaller guy at 5'5. The speed of that centerline punch while shooting forward has pretty much always guaranteed me that first strike to start my opponent as I follow up with something a little more power to vital area has been a very effective strategy for me in the past. Like Bruce Lee says, the best defense is a good offense.

45 angle is good. But its better to throw hooks. Work on head movement, fakes, and coming for Fat hooks. Hooks are the way to KO

I think the three are good ways of throwing punches, but I disagree with the pushing analogy as a way to demonstrate punch type efficiency. To me, punches should be a snapping motion, it's about generating explosive energy which is not achieved by isometrical strength.
