5 sniper teams around a target? Must be nice….
Watch 13 hours
Use the illuminator like a white light of the enemy has the same equipment as you. It's basically the same as fighting at night before NVGs. Use the illuminator as needed, but use discipline and common sense.
What about thermal?
Do you think high power LED’s will make night vision unusable if directed at the person using them?
If the enemy has nods then your already compromised.
I'm all about NODS, but a Thermal clip-on/handheld unit that can also be bridged with a 14 is an outstanding solution when you need to be careful about IR.
If they have thermal and night vision and you don't…… you're dead ☠️
They will all switch to the same guy haha
Failed at having three sniper teams covering me.
Makes total sense. Thank you.
Carl, can you go into detail regarding your setup here? Which clip on is that and which laser/illuminator is paired with it?
Ok, I’ll be the one to say it…
The advantage we HAD, that biden left thousands of night vision units in Afghanistan, so that pretty much any enemy has access to a usable quantity of night vision until they wear out. Isn’t that a crime to let foreign nationals to even look through gen 3 night vision?!
My unit never had night vision so I'm a late bloomer to this equipment. How do you preserve your natural night vision while using say a night vision rifle scope?
Sounds expensive
Well, the current potential enemy, Russia, China, Iran have NVG’s and IR devices, they are not the Taliban… be careful to turn yours knowing the enemy can see yours, because they will make you see Jesus…
Exactly
