    I live in England so in all instances im fucked, i might walk out of there alive but ill spend the rest of my days behind bars because i cant strike back in self defense, cant own most guns and cant carry any, cant carry knives, pepper spray or self defense batons and i could get sued for battery if i broke his arm or wrist even in self defense because in UK law, that makes me the assailant.

A number of factors are involved, but we were trained to establish sufficient distance so weapon cannot be grabbed or diverted.
