Parrying the jab is taught a lot but its easy to get past with some training, this is why I don’t like it for self defense. So what should you do instead?

U need too tell people your in southpaw cuz this is much different if both guys are orthodox most of the time people will have the same stance

All of this shit never works in real life. You get stabbed or shot, then spend your last dying moment on the tarmac wondering what the hell this life was all about.

There was an FMA practitioner that I saw here on YouTube. He said that once the attacker extends his limbs on you, say thank you. That means the attacker is giving him something to work on.

I’ve actually been practicing this new move and it’s to aim a perfect double jab. I would love to potentially work with you and grow. I believe that defense is truly the better offense 😂😂. But seriously I don’t know what I can do to get in contact with you but I want to teach other people how to protect themselves the right way. Hmu!

You parry with the hands still close to head so this is not that applicable

I prefer to pillow block and move when they connect on that elbow it makes them think twice about using that hand again… but I suck anyway lol

Parrying is not easy even with big gloves on. Most streetfighters do not throw jabs at all and if they do, you're facing a boxer who'll give you a beating of a lifetime. Just run when someone starts bobbing an weaving on you.

Well this is all great BUT I would not just parry your jab.. I would catch/parry the jab and be throwing my straight right or “the cross” whether your southpaw or orthodox same difference. Your immediate reaction than has to be to move out of range somehow or catch/parry my following straight right hand.. Because if you try and immediately strike again Im landing that counter straight right cross perfectly which to me is something no fighter ever wants .. one of the oldest and strongest and most reliable punches you can throw is the straight cross right for orthodox and left cross for a southpaw.. thats the 2nd punch in the GOOD OL’ 1 , 2 combo. For example the straight cross is what we see Deontay Wilder crushing heavyweights with mostly. A very Devastating punch. Also i guess you could immediately level change for a take down but that double jab idea against a trained fighter could easily get your chin punched down into your own throat😅

Never fight someone you don't know. If you are in a threatening environment, carry a weapon to defend yourself.

Well. Since 110% of street punches are a wild hay maker. This will help.

I can handle that double jab off the parry but that jab to elbow from a taller opponent is a good one…i dont fight in the ring anymore so all the doubles and fakes arent done in the streets during violence🤷🏿‍♂️. Love yiur content Kev. One of the best…
