Move and draw. Even if you hit them it may not stop them
Scary how fast that is
Hell yea. It’s always better to move. Of course you learn to shoot from a static position. It’s not as easy as we make it look
I would like to see a “try to draw your pistol while wrestling on the ground” video if yaw have t done it already 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
I used to have a white cat who was smaller than my other siamese. And as the siamese would close on the white cat he would go on his back take the hit and then tear the siamese up with his back feet. Always dominated from that position. Wouldn't the best course be to back away then fold down back on your left side bringing the gun up to fire at the attacker?
This guy. Handsome bastard. Reminds me of me. But taller
Technically it's 1 shot, shot 2 & 3 was off of move back
You’re trying to go to full draw. Ever learn a 4 point draw? You would have had him with time to spare at waist level or #1.
Knives don't have to be aimed, And they never run out of ammo. Scary shit
It’s the 21 foot rule. The attacker closes the distance EXTREMELY FAST! Your greatest ally is distance and time! Great video. There’s another training video YouTube showing how fast the distance is closed & how many times the victim gets stabbed
This is why imo you treat every atranger as a hostile
Precisely why you need a bigger round to stop their momentum and change their trajectory. The Army already learned this lesson the hard way, not sure why everyone has forgotten it.
Wouldn’t you likely back pedal? Or is that not something you should do
Potentially life saving tip! Thanks bro👍
Simply backing up quickly and maybe moving on an angle like so could buy you the 1-2 seconds you need to go home that night!
This is a great drill. I do wonder if the traumatic shock & cavitation of the round hitting assailant doesnt factor into the scenario.
E.g. if one of you shots hits dead center or in pelvic area, wouldnt assailant likely be unable to continue forward?
Good foot work is essential in any fight.
Great stuff
And in real life you won’t know why this person is running out you and you might not see the knife. Pretty sketch
Double tap his belt line
Target down Sir
You aint running another step with a broken hip
Dont get a lock up holster 🙂
Velcro instead
great practice
Moral of The Story ?
Move out of Baltimore .
I was on a call talking to a guy urinating on a bar wall in a small alley. In a flash he had a knife and attacking me. There was not much room to move but still any movement is better than none. Distance is always on your side.I train other officers in this and got him apprehended w/o killing him but still got stabbed through the hand. You always want to protect your vitals knowing you will get cut but better than the alternative. I have a lot of knife stories in the many years as a cop and still here.
Just keep a pocket 38 u can use real quick. And a holster gun
❤ US Army of ❤
But Shawn Ryan said that moving any direction other than forward is garbage… you must not be CIA/ SEAL enough…
Only an idiot open carries!!! It makes you a target!!!!
ONLY AN IDIOT ATTACKS FROM THE FRONT!!!!! SURPRISE IS THE BEST WEAPON YOULL EVER HAVE!!!!
Excellent exercise….
Damn Karls’ got wheels, that mans quick.
Move Move Move Move
lets try doing that without a bullet in the chamber
This drill is flawed! Stop a blade from 2 metre or 1 metre away!
Does Imri typically just use level 2?
Now we just need to find someone dumb enough to bum rush somebody who has a gun from 20 yards away.😂
Get off the X!
Well, that plays out in that way if you know that the guy with the knife is going to attack you and if he start running toward you… but if he just come calmly walking by your side, you are just fucked
His draw is very slow!
theres a reason the police have loke an 18 foot zone or something where youre considered to be in immediate combat or melee range or whatever. reaction time plus momentum is bad bad news.
Wouldn't of had the knife in his hand after the first shot hit you'd have shattered the bones hand would reflexively opened and dropped the knife just from the impact alone not to mention the damage to the limb he'd have suffered
Tueller drill says 21 ft, we proved with airsoft that it is very much closer to 31ft… and that was with experienced le guys who had practice with their holsters
