Pistol el prez (11 Seconds)- Set up with one round in chamber and five rounds in magazine with a full magazine to reload with. Stand with back to a set of three targets, pistol in holster. At buzzer turn 180 degrees, engage circle on targets. Two shots each on all three targets then do a combat reload and re-engage circle on targets with two shots each. All 12 shots must be hits.
El Presidente has been around since the 70’s and is a staple of competition and qualifications. Presentation from the holster, multiple target engagement with multiple rounds, recoil management, reloading, and footwork thrown in too. It tests your skill at putting hits on target quickly. It’s not about tactics. But good hits delivered very quickly might make up for poor tactics. Can’t hurt.

Hell yea bro! This drill and the bill drill are one of my favorites. 4 aces is a good drill too.
On the el Presidente, I turn to my support side. It adds time, but it protects my weapon, until I have positive control of it and turns me into the threat, ready to work. Turning toward the weapon, turns you around blind and moves your weapon closer to a threat, before you have positive control of it.
These drills are very helpful, thanks
I like to have a friend load my mag's unevenly. That way I don't know when my pistol will go empty.
It would be nice to take a beer break after each session, having a food trolley and some 6 packs of Budweiser should improve practice….😀😁🇺🇸👍
0:56 Could you elaborate on this please? I've never heard of rounds being sorted by accuracy that way.
Another one of my favorites along with the pistol reload drill.
Classic drill, still appropriate today. First time I saw this drill, it was shoot by COL Jeff Cooper, nuff said.
I thought El Prez was a ten second standard.
Awesome drill!
Thank you TR!
Great drill…is the target a standard bull do you have a link?
NICELY DONE COACH, shoot, repeat.
Cool drill. This series is a pleasant daily expectation
I use, "fight position" instead, your clenched fists in the ready, which is almost exactly where they would also be if presenting a rifle. You guys briefly showed something very similar, "in your line of work", what do you guys call it?
I hate surrender position, never draw on a drawn weapon! Your element of surprise will be beat by your adversary's OODA loop and finger on the trigger.
3.1 cs and 4.1 a's cold no warm up.
