the ROE for cops in many many cities/towns is TERRIBLE…the guy is CLEARLY NUTS…so maybe jumping out and tasing isn't the best way to go…maybe just stay behind him with lights…keep him from causing an accident…maybe get in front of him and stop traffic? cops need training on mental health.
Again something that I can't understand, when I come to America as an Austrian for example, whether as a tourist or a student or whatever, then I take advantage of the hospitality of this country. It is incomprehensible to me how one can behave so badly towards this country that grants you his hospitality!

There is absolutely no place for the taser here. This officer wouldnt be able to get this guy in cuffs if the guy was tied up and asleep with his hands behind his back. So lets say the taser is effective here? Then what? Taser can be useful if you have multiple officers, but no place for it here. Pepper spray would be much better if you have to choose a less lethal option. Even then, this officer needs a whole gang of backup.

I'll say it again, the taser can be an extremely deadly weapon, meaning it is so unreliable that it makes it deadly. This video is a prime example of that. Law enforcement should either replace it with something that is A LOT more reliable or just do away with it!!
Personally if I was in a vehicle and I seen that dude beat down that I would have stepped in to help out. I would do whatever I could. And if I got the opportunity to just drive across the lane and clip him with the car believe me I would do it in a heartbeat. Or if I had my pistol on me I would definitely step in and help this officer. Personally I do not have a concealed carry permit but I do carry a loaded Pistol when I go into high crime hydrug high gang activity areas such as Fort Michigan or Detroit Michigan. I will take my chances getting pulled over and getting a ticket for having a concealed pistol on me without a license before I risk risk getting murdered while I'm unarmed. Any officer with common sense if you're in those areas especially after darkWould probably not have that much of an issue with it as long as you didn't give them any problems or give them any reasonTo think that you threat to them Or cause them any hassle. I know technically it's illegal I know technically the cops could arrest because it is illegal but I like to think that most cops are regular people with common sense and as long as I don't cause them any problems they will be understanding and just let me given the circumstances and location. I deliverPackages for FedEx, walmart and amazon so I am in bad neighborhoods walking up to conplete strangers houses. I also am driving my personal vehicle most of the time because they do not have a spare company vehicle for me to drive Which definitely adds an element of danger to it.

Honestly this is just me and i know cops have department policies but wouldnt even bother with tasers, way too unreliable. 50% chance is works means 50%chance it doesnt. Personally pepper spray in my non dominant hand a baton in my dominant hand. Hose him at a distance and when he comes charging in head first like he did its like hitting a home run with the bases loaded. Ive never seen anyone take a beating from a baton and still win the fight. Especially after getting softened up with some oc first.
