I wouldn't shoot on a bad back spot but if I was his friend and I had a gun too depending on what country I'm in… I'm going to try to get his bike back too

We have a police batallion here specialized in bike chase and shooting at high speeds and hard maneuvering situations in almost every State. In São Paulo its called ROCAM, if you search for maneuvers training you'll see something similar to what the guy tried to do. These batallions are specialized in one hand shooting, defensive and agressive maneuvers in bike, etc..

As soon as the perp was on the bike, helmet on the left arm knife and Moto handle in the right hand he could have swung a good hook to his face and knocked him off the bike.

His left hand isn't holding the clutch of the bike, that particular model (Honda Biz) has no hand clutch, I think he just didn't have enough balance to hold the moto only on his feet.

I think when the perp approached and produced the knife thats when I wouldve acted all afraid and nervous to get off the bike and then slam the bike into the perp, I think this most likely wouldve caught the perp by surprise and changed his focus to protecting himself from the weight of the bike slamming and falling on to him and dropping the knife in the process, cfeating an opportunity to strike the perp. with possibly with the helmet in my hand by then. The other guy on the bike shouldve dropped off his lady passenger and drove up alongside and kicked the perp off the bike. Anyone know if the perp got wounded and came off the bike a little further on ????

    Lessons to be learned:
Victims need to learn to be more resourceful if you want to stop the threat right away using the helmet to bash that guy's face up would have been a good environmental weapon.

Civilians don't carry weapons in Brazil, so the guy was either a cop or that robbery took place in an area controlled by a gang since they don't allow robbery in their controlled area.
