It also gives the calvary time to slow down. believe it or not cops die on the way to backup call all the time. Im ok with the radio use – hats off and Incredible training by these police officers / these videos that you post alone tell a story – that 10 seconds can completely change the scope of the gun fight – at some point / the radio use will pay off…
Officer did a great thing by performing a traffic stop so therefore if fire was exchanged no passing cars would be in the line of fire. Great Job officer!

I wonder how they are trained with regard to notifying on the radio shots fired. Every video like this I've seen the officer does the same thing by broadcasting that information right away. What if the officer ends up losing the fight? Wouldn't he want the department to know what was going down?

And keep in mind the cop shooting this guy could have possibly saved lives cause he was stealing the officers motorcycle which had a weapon on it. Could of also taken hostages.
