If you’ve enjoyed the Round Table series with Ryan and Amber from Fit to Fight® you absolutely will not be disappointed with his newest digital training course: Edge of Reality – Counter Blade tactics. Knives are the second most commonly used weapon in homicides in the US. According to the UN, 43% of all homicides in Europe involve a knife, and men in Asia are as likely to die from a knife as from a firearm.

Every person learns to use a knife at a young age. They are always available, accessible, never fail and never run out of ammo. This makes them hell to deal with. The training course here is a holistic, honest approach to dealing with knife violence, from world-renowned instructors Ryan Hoover and Amber Staklinski. Train at your own pace and access the course anytime!

Yeah nope! Any knife attacker who has attacked a couple people would never give someone that much time to react. A strung out first timer perhaps…

[Wow, I'm impressed with the number of experts who've come out of the webwork to critique this video. I hope they remember to post a link to the videos/training courses THEY'VE created so we all know how to do it CORRECTLY.]

😂 wait til someone really tries to kill you with a knife. It's a whole different ballgame. There is no adrenaline in training.

Best knife defense is distance or an object between you and the attacker. The reality is that if you fight a person with an edged weapon, you're probably gonna get cut.

just a tip to who ever edited this, tone down the music, A LOT. the music was complete ass and doesnt fit the situation of some guy on the phone asking if there is food at home.

WTF? I like Ryan and have followed his videos long before fit to fight stuff but this video was totally garbage. I was looking for knife attack defense techniques and got overdramatized multiple scenarios on how you might get into a physical conflict. Production quality was good though. I sum up knife defense succinctly – control the arm that holds the knife. That means closing distance and wrapping both of your arms around his. Expect to get cut.

Wow. Now I know how to stop an attacker that makes one big, slow, telegraphed attack and then holds still while I do six more moves! Thanks, Tactical Rifleman!

    110% BULLSHIT.

No matter what you know, you won't Jason Bourne your way out of a knife attack unless you have a gun/run away etc. All these knife fighting stuff is bologna.

Police are taught to shoot a perp holding a blade inside a specific distance because the attacker can close the distance and cut you.

Im not trying to be an asshole but, no way you should train someone to try to fight against a knife. They need to run like hell, and draw their weapon as they run. If they have nothing just run like hell and make a lot of noise. These complicated take downs and shit will never work in the real world. Throw you wallet down and run like hell.

The only weapon is your brain, everything else is just a tool. Practice with your tools to make sure your the one with the advantage.

Stumbled onto your channel and after this video struck it from ever showing up ever again. Folks like you who advertise this sort of nonsense defense against 1 swing/action knife attacks is science fiction. Anyone who believes this nonsense deserves to get cut.

A for effort. But unfortunately I didn’t find any value in this video. Here’s the deal, when a blade is involved there is no great response. Best bet is to stay vigilant and watch for possible threats. Hopefully you live in a state where you can bring a gun to a knife fight 😉

Hmmmm. Yea. Not to discredit anybody. I'm sure they have spent countless hours playing with knife attack scenarios. But when it's a REAL threat. A REAL Person trying to REALLY stab you. It's a totally different story. I can't commit to a theoretical defense tactic against knife attacks. Just because there are way too many variables. Showing all these cooky moves disarms and takedowns. That shit doesn't happen in the real world. U either fight and get cut up 100% or you run and maybe only get cut 25% of the time. Every one is a Badass until there time card is about to get punched!

Travel around the world to countries where firearms are illegal for civilians, you will find knife and sharp edged weapon crimes are much much more horrific and the creeps are even more creepy. Here in America they want to outlaw firearms, be careful what you wish for.

If you carry any tool to defend yourself , you should know how to use it . No the anatomy of the human body that way you know where the strike or slash to defend yourself or lose that gut and run fast very fast 😂😂
