I don't get how any woman would want this kind of guy. Short, grubby, panhandler… there's nothing to look up to or admire in that. There's no security. It's really quite pathetic.

If your best punch didn't work…just use it again. Boxing matches usually consist of more than one shot. Hit him again.

You're wrong on this one. Hitching your pants up is not considered an attack. If you see the punch coming, it's easy enough to dodge/block/grab onto and then you have every right to have your way.

Something like this happened at a Walmart I worked at for awhile. Girl was panhandling outside the store's exit. Store doesn't want panhandlers doing this. Religion aside, panhandling outside the exit of a store is unpleasant for the shoppers, and so it tends to cut down on business. The store 's rent covered the sidewalk outside, so the store could say go away, and we had an unarmed security guard who went out and tried to move the woman off. She went ballistic, screaming that her boyfriend was going to kill the guard, and literally calling down voodoo curses on the guard in some weird creole language. The boyfriend was inside the store (returning for refund items he presumably shoplifted on another occasion) and dropped what he was doing, ran outside and confronted the security guard about as aggressively as this, perhaps even more so as he ran up to the guard. Guard decked him, and seriously laid him out…the guy lost consciousness briefly. The guard spent the next day or two in jail, of course, because it was an "unprovoked" attack, before the assistant DA looked over the situation and declined to press charges. The guard wasn't fired, but they transferred him to another store, so that he was away from the panhandlers…who were back just a couple of days later. They stayed off the sidewalk, and restricted themselves to panhandling in the dark well after sundown in a poorly lit parking lot. Very reputable people, of course. I talked with the male half (the guy who got decked) and he was downright indignant about the whole situation, given his right to panhandle anywhere he wanted.

I forgot to mention, by the way, everyone–girlfriend, panhandler, and guard–was black.

He deserved to be fired. You never hit someone unless you were hit first.

This is on the shop owner and on the clerk equaly.
If you are paid to work as cashier on a register and you are asked to do security duty, you should decline.
On the other side, the owner has no business demanding that his clerk does the dirty work – it is his property o either he does it himself or calls the cops.

Yeah but if you would have waited a couple more seconds or looked away when he was pulling up his pants he could've been pulling up a knife you never know what you're going to go up against so be prepared to knock someone out he pull up your pants or you reaching for something I don't want to find out

At first I had an issue with the clerk not being charged with assault for that punch, but after explaining all the pre-attack indicators that the panhandler displayed, he gets a pass from me. After all, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

When you put a right hand into someone and its your first swing, then they hit the ground, thats a CLEAR indicator you have 100% control of the situation. 10/10 times im winning that scuffle.

I think the clerk just wanted to punch him. There were plenty of ways to deescalate before resorting to violence. Keeping some distance from the start would have been a smarter move. You never know what the other guy is packing or his mental state to begin with.

“I bet you, the first time you watch this one, you’re going to be mad at the guy who swings a punch…”.

No. The pre-attack indicators are there. You don’t wait to be hit.

This is why, if your employer asks you to do something dangerous which isn’t part of your job, you refuse. Or, rather, ask the panhandler to leave and if he refuses, walk away – you’ve done your job. Your employer wants him physically removed? He can do it.

This wasn’t the first time he’s been told to beat it, he flexed at the clerk…the clerk decided that’s not happening.

My clerk would’ve got an employee of the month award, and bonus for keeping my place clean.

This reminds me of so many fights with me dunk brothers, you hit them they fall and come back up … Got 2 stories I'll make them quick..
S1….Tried getting brother out backseat of friends car ,he kick me in the face and 1 1/2 hours I'm saying I'm tried cover in his blood and my 2 friends just sat and watched….

S2…Bar fight, actually trying to walk my little brother out the bar he get sucker punch and me my mind and arm foes into smart missile mode and I knew (some how) actually where to hit dude right in the middle of his face and knock him him back from a stand still , my friend got my out the bar before dude I just rocked him and his friend tried jumping me and I laughed but has I went outside the dude I hit ran outside to the patio with a 32oz beer mug and jumped over the fence and before I could turn around he hit in the back of the head and I fell but in my head I fell on my back and smh but my friends saw the video and said I hit the ground and got right back up .So long story short ,people that had shit has bad as mine they go in coma and even die but I was cool and even the surgery for the brain cot which they said should take 3 hours and took 5 ,I was in and out in less then 48 and the doctors and my friend that worked at the hospital I was at were like no way he wasn't even knocked out and was coherent the whole time… 12 small pieces of titanium later to keep my right side of my skull together and the 35 staples to put my skop back together….🙃
