DOnt you love when a company gets a review or two then immediately jacks their prices 15%? They're now priced higher than Speer factory gold dots. Thieves.

As expected. Hacking the barrel down really castrates that 5.56 NATO, even with a well designed bullet, it just loses so much energy it really stops being a rifle in terms of terminal effect. Have you happened to chronograph them at any point? Thanks for making these videos.

My AR pistol has a 7.5 inch barrel, do you think it would work with shorter barrels than the 10.5?

Got the Jeep pretty close there with steel tubing under. 🤔. Maybe hoping for ricochet to justify body mods. Hahahah

Mine comes in the mail later today, looking forward to testing it out in my 12.3 this week.
@Tactical Rifleman Did you weigh the bullet afterwards to see how much weight it retained?

This loading is 300-400 fps hotter than the .223 loading from Speer. TO supplement TR's video, here are a stills from my testing of the same ammo. I tested as short as as 7.5", and video is in description of pics: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmMM41mY

Hey Karl, enjoy the info you provide !! I know your using a 10.5" bbl, how much would the result be degraded if you were only using a 6.5" bbl..? I have an OA-93….

Karl, thanks as always! Great info! I love soft-point ammo. My duty ammo is XM556FBIT3, which I managed to score 2 cases of for free, from a buddy! I would love to get some of that new M855A1 to test out. I had some misgivings, but after seeing your review, a while back, and hearing your endorsement, I would have no hesitation, whatsoever, running it! Also, just thought I'd mention, since you brought it up in your mag video, the 10-round(all of them) and NEW 25-round PMAGs(the ones now specifically marked for it, on the packaging) will accommodate M118LR and similar length ammo. Check them out. Gen M3 PMAGs really are great, and are a LOT less expensive than Lancers, for a product I feel, is just as good. I've had some issues with corrosion and rust, on the steel feed lips, on the Lancers, but they are great.

Would like to see how 75gr OTM Hornady Frontier (5.56) compares to this Pine Valley load (through the same LaRue). I know it's apples vs pairs but am interested in the legitimate scientific comparison.

    Thank you very much!
After watching your what's the best gun for home defense video quite a while back I decided I'd go with your recommendation and use an AR15.
    I like the way a MK18 10.5"
    style 'pisto'l with brace handles.
But all over YouTube I see a lot of conflicting information.
Not only is the barrel too short to be effective?
But also will the bullet be going fast enough to perform to get the job done.
I also liked you wall penetration tests👍

Considering I went and shot 3 hard drives with 50 rounds of .45 yesterday and had a blast (pun intended), I wanna see you guys do the same thing. It would be awesome to see the force that the round puts on the disk. Also the 1911 style is my new favorite for the .45

Will you be able to do a full test with it, including its overall penetration, FBI test, and barrier penetration?
