Wish they had some in stock! Its gone in 30 minutes after coming online! Thanks Karl!! Lol
Always good info!
How do millitary and er surgians save people with that much internal devastation ?
DOnt you love when a company gets a review or two then immediately jacks their prices 15%? They're now priced higher than Speer factory gold dots. Thieves.
As expected. Hacking the barrel down really castrates that 5.56 NATO, even with a well designed bullet, it just loses so much energy it really stops being a rifle in terms of terminal effect. Have you happened to chronograph them at any point? Thanks for making these videos.
My AR pistol has a 7.5 inch barrel, do you think it would work with shorter barrels than the 10.5?
Got the Jeep pretty close there with steel tubing under. 🤔. Maybe hoping for ricochet to justify body mods. Hahahah
Why did you put the camera on the table man 🙁
When will we get a Jeep walk around video?
Did the slug go through the manican also? I liked your new intro!
Great video. How far out will it effectively reach coming out of sbr and 16” barrel?
Mine comes in the mail later today, looking forward to testing it out in my 12.3 this week.
@Tactical Rifleman Did you weigh the bullet afterwards to see how much weight it retained?
Never a disappointment
Noticeable hotter when firing.
If you deploy something like me, you better mean to win.
What ammo would you recommend for a 4.75 inch 300 aac blackout
Any idea on the velocity out of that barrel length ?
This loading is 300-400 fps hotter than the .223 loading from Speer. TO supplement TR's video, here are a stills from my testing of the same ammo. I tested as short as as 7.5", and video is in description of pics: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmMM41mY
I was waitin for you do the video on this after you mentioned it on the Live. Definitely picking some up. That looks scary.
Hey Karl, enjoy the info you provide !! I know your using a 10.5" bbl, how much would the result be degraded if you were only using a 6.5" bbl..? I have an OA-93….
You need a high speed camera.
Karl, thanks as always! Great info! I love soft-point ammo. My duty ammo is XM556FBIT3, which I managed to score 2 cases of for free, from a buddy! I would love to get some of that new M855A1 to test out. I had some misgivings, but after seeing your review, a while back, and hearing your endorsement, I would have no hesitation, whatsoever, running it! Also, just thought I'd mention, since you brought it up in your mag video, the 10-round(all of them) and NEW 25-round PMAGs(the ones now specifically marked for it, on the packaging) will accommodate M118LR and similar length ammo. Check them out. Gen M3 PMAGs really are great, and are a LOT less expensive than Lancers, for a product I feel, is just as good. I've had some issues with corrosion and rust, on the steel feed lips, on the Lancers, but they are great.
Kool deal brother,
Stop being cheap and use a real camera, not your cell phone.
Nothing better then a surprise tactical rifleman video and filling my Turkey tag in the same day!
I’ll never get sick of seeing shots go through ballistic gel, looks so damn cool!!!
Great video Karl. Love the new title sequence!
Glad to see you own a Jeep. Still prefer 762×39 for a sbr tho
Would like to see how 75gr OTM Hornady Frontier (5.56) compares to this Pine Valley load (through the same LaRue). I know it's apples vs pairs but am interested in the legitimate scientific comparison.
Little Randy had a belly ache.
Jeez Louise that's nice. Putting in my order today. Thanks.
Again, Karl comes thru with science not speculation. Love it.
Just got my ups update my order will be here tomorrow and I can't wait! Use code TR5 = 5% off then code golddot = 10% on the 75g bonded ammo! Thanks again for the great information & savings Karl! 👍🇺🇸
is the gold dot just like fed fusion or completely different ?
Karl: Do you think you could do a short video on your LaRue SBR set up?
Nice video. Suggestion never place camera on table. The camera shakes with gel
Can you do another test but with 16in and 20in barrel lengths for comparison?
How would it perform in a AR15 pistol with a 7.5 Barrel?
Thank you very much!
After watching your what's the best gun for home defense video quite a while back I decided I'd go with your recommendation and use an AR15.
I like the way a MK18 10.5"
style 'pisto'l with brace handles.
But all over YouTube I see a lot of conflicting information.
Not only is the barrel too short to be effective?
But also will the bullet be going fast enough to perform to get the job done.
I also liked you wall penetration tests👍
Considering I went and shot 3 hard drives with 50 rounds of .45 yesterday and had a blast (pun intended), I wanna see you guys do the same thing. It would be awesome to see the force that the round puts on the disk. Also the 1911 style is my new favorite for the .45
Will you be able to do a full test with it, including its overall penetration, FBI test, and barrier penetration?
