He probably should have had a pet tiger to harass his neighbor and his vicious dogs in order to qualify as a lawful firearm carrier.

What´s the problem with this dumb-jerk dog owners?? what´s the dang problem with justice institutions?? are they run by brainless people?? can´t they see the real problem here?? kids and adults have been killed by aggressive dogs in the recent months aaaand… their best answer is to blame the defender?? who actually had to go to dump his trash armed with a gun because of the dogs??? were these judges mentally fit to attend college and get a bachelor's degree at all?? are they mentally fit to attend their office?? seriously we really have a problem with the people that are supposed to administer justice!

I don't see this as a reckless discharge. He fired in the dirt so the bullet didn't ricochet. He did the right thing and didn't shoot the dog unnecessarily. I bet the dog owner keeps his dog under control now. It's just too bad the law didn't see it the same way. I think it would be hard to get a jury to convict this guy.

I am not a dog whisperer. Wagging its tail, the dog may as well be speaking Mandarin to me – which in itself would be a whole other conversation.

I dont have time to figure out repercussions and engagement rules when a big dog is coming up on me like that. I'm protecting myself,….knife, gun, bat, big stick….whatever's at my disposal

So the dog is still free to terrorist the neighbourhood and now the defender no longer has the means to protect himself.

I get that you are responsible for where ever your shot goes. But this was controlled..how the defender got charged i dont understand. Its hardly even a reckless dischagre..he stopped the threat with a controlled warning and the owner still had a dog thats not dead or hurt.
If someone wants to justify why the defender got charged i would love to be educated as to why.

felony for reckles discharge?????? WTF if he shot the dog was self defense no problem with popo . But if he tries and actually succeds to not kill but scare the dog away is a felony? like with humans, law says that if you defend yourself you have to aim to the chest area in all situations to kill the threath or you will be charged with felonys. But what if the bad dude is far away, runing to me or other people with a knive, and i have the skills to not shot him in the chest and aim for the legs couple shots wait half second and if not in ground go rambo and kill. Its a really bad thinked law

that was a self defense warning shot ive seen dogs kill ppl on that note what if this dog grabs someones kid and im not blaming the dog either it clearly needs obedience training and the owner should be the one in trouble for animal endangerment ect ect

a dog wagging it's tail being a sign of non aggresion is a myth. I've seen pitbulls maul other animals while wagging their tails before, during, and after the attack. get off it with the OC spray, it's not effective once the dog latches on

Surprised that a defender, who after having previous experience with a dog being violent towards his family, would then be charged for running the same dog off .

Update on this one would be appreciated.

I remember getting mauled by three dogs that were wagging their tails. Absolute BS.

You should always shot those MFs if they tried to rush at you. I couldn’t care less if they were friendly or not. A dead dog is better than a living dog.

Trash in the trash bins. So the guy was taking out his trash. In Argentina they collect trash every day and they have these raised baskets to put the trash in so dogs and other animals can't reach it

I had a cop tell me never, ever fire a warning shot regardless of whether it's a person or an animal. Either shoot your target or leave your gun holstered.

.0001 seconds from an imminent attack, he chose to scare not kill the dog, and he gets in trouble not the owner of the aggressive dog who hasn't done a thing to prevent the attacks. WTF is wrong with Police / DA thought process to put charges on the man defending himself.
