Police have additional responsibilities to protect not only themselves and their loved ones, but the public. That means their standard of action is slightly different in different situations. They're responsible to stop deadly threats, including fleeing dangerous felons running with firearms in their hands. The standard of TN vs Garner is well-established and long held.

Not justified in anyway. Never gave the guy a warning to drop the weapon. Guy never even aimed at the officer. He just unloaded like he was in the wild wild west. What happen to the least amount of reasonable force? Cops these days are trigger happy and reckless.
Here you cant shoot at a roober like in this situation, police has to engage in a way that robber would submit the weapon, or if the robber shots the first shot can fire back… so police has a big disadvantage from the beggining… i
