I really don't understand how if somebody gets intuition and says you know what I think those people might be a threat why didn't he just drive around the block come back in a few moments make sure everything is clear before you pull up into your driveway if you think that there are predators they probably are if not at least you were safe

What I learned here is to keep driving if I feel like someone is possibly following me home. I wouldn't want them to know where I live especially with my kid in the back. Would not have gotten out of that car with them trailing so closely.

He should have stayed in the car and left it running so he could ram them or flee. If he had a gun it'd make OK cover from the right angles. I like the wallet toss as a distraction, this bad guy paid too much attention tho. I'd have drawn and shot them in the back as they fled, they could leave parting shots. I'd have been in my car to, and would have drawn from fear when I saw his gun.

That little kid getting out of the car had my heart in my throat. So glad they didn't hurt them.
What a jerk, he got a whole driveway to park in. But he wants to park in the street and be a target.
I wonder if it would have been a good idea (assuming for the example that he was armed), upon noticing that the perp's car had turned to come back and, while the car was slowing down, as it passed the victim, to have told his child to run towards the home immediately while the victim went behind cover to the rear of the vehicle, pulling and aiming his gun. If he was that alert and prepared, I believe he had time to do this all, though of course one can't be sure of the child's reaction to the command.
My thought is that, if the above scenario took place, would it have been workable. If so, the perp may have been stopped before he raised his gun.
Or, was this videotaped actions a safer alternative? What I mean is that, yes, obviously all's well that end's well, but without knowing the future, would my suggested scenario be a better choice?

Hah this is nothing! Where I used to live these thugs were kicking in doors and breaking windows to get in people's homes in the daytime………nightime. Didn't matter. They kicked in my friends back door while he and his wife were at work and his elderly mother was home. Ended up breaking a broom over the dogs head and back and stole all of his valuables including guns. They don't care anymore if you are home or not! Arm yourself people and protect your families.
