    I think it's possible it was a negligent discharge. I agree that he seemed to look at the gun like "wtf?" Plus, right after the shot, it looks like he put the gun in his other hand, holding it by the slide. As some ppl have pointed out, he didn't seem to flinch as the shot was fired, and went ahead with the robbery instead of running off. But it could just be he was committed to the robbery no matter what. Hard to say. Whether it was intentional or not, this guy is a scumbag and hopefully Houston PD catches him before he does kill somebody.

    I think it was negligent discharge because he didn't follow up with shots he chose to beat the clerk instead of keep sharing him.

    Nope. In a fraction of a second he actually actively raises the gun about an inch and a half before the discharge. That was on purpose. He also doesn't pause before he jumps the counter. He was sure he'd killed the clerk and was on to his next task.
