I feel like you should HAVE to take some sort of firearm safety class when buying one. I took one just to have the skills and knowledge and can't believe it isnt required.
Homeowner is either astoundingly stupid and aggressive, or off the tweek big time…
In Michigan someone has to enter the home and even then you’re still taught to at least try to hide in a room before you resort to using deadly force.
I'm calling bullshit on that comment of being allowed to defend his home by the Sheriff. That makes me think the homeowner has friends or connections. He did not identify the threat and was discharging his firearm into the wild. I bet you if that was a police officer in his back garden looking for an active suspect, he'd be getting charges.
Time stamp of 20:00 is 8pm, not 10pm.
Dude really said “so anyway I started blasting” My thing is how do you not turn on a porch light to illuminate the target let alone a WML. I have one on a rifle that I took outside with me one night a few months back due to my dog going ballistic and trying to rip my blinds off the wall of my sliding back door. I got my rifle out of the safe and went out back to find out who or what was in my backyard which is surrounded by a 6 foot privacy fence and is locked 24/7. Turns out my dog wanted to eat the orange tabby cat that’s been lurking around the neighborhood 😂
Both are dumb
Whoever says this is a problem is stupid guy thought the threat was still there what happens if it was you in the same situation thinking your in danger and loved ones every single one of y’all would of kept shooting to if you think there’s a threat willing to hurt your family it was self defense and that’s why he wasn’t charged anyone saying he should be charged is a dumb ass
In military time 20:00 equals 8:00 not 9 or 10.
Thoughts on the charging decision: This comes down to mental state. It's not intentional or knowing, because it is pretty clear and obvious that they legitimately and reasonably thought the man was an intruder based on the information they had. But it was definitely reckless because they had time to and neglected to GATHER more information. They did not peek the blinds, or check their security camera, or call out and try to have a conversation with him. That, to me, neglects a duty in a reckless manner that constitutes a criminal act.
Hope he was charged
Should he have fired? No! But he also shouldn’t have been charged either. If you go messing around in someone’s backyard after dark without announcing your self, you’re asking for problems.
The guy didnt try to enter the house though? They didnt check their tapes and see him bringing the tools?
Reasons I hate working nights. Everyone thinks that thing you didn't know was going on outside your house requires you to run outside with your gun…
What in the everloving f*ck was this moron thinking ??? THEY HAVE F*CKING CAMERAS !!! WHY DO THEY HAVE CAMERAS IF THEY DON'T USE THEM ???
And then shooting BLIND and continues to shoot once in a while just because…he might have heard something…maybe…could be ???
This is way past irresponsible, this is way past moronic, this is professional grade extreme…
Or maybe the guy is a drug smuggler/seller and thought it was the Sinaloa cartel coming for their money…quietly, with a flashlight…because they would be very discreet about it…
What. The. Hell ???
Not a first here. Even just people at the front door have been shot here.
When two Florida Men's worlds collide!
Timestamp is 8
Next time you need some range time but don’t want to leave the comfort of your suburban home, just say you heard a noise 😎
You want hard wired poe cameras, not WiFi. Buy a spool of cat6, a crimp tool, and a long drill bit.
People like this give gun owners a bad name. Absolutely ridiculous.
Man, twenty eight 3000 fps rounds flying through your neighborhood is scary! He got lucky!
Contractors should definitely not go to residential properties at night…
charged for what? depending on what is down range, I would see him charged for reckless endangerment or something. If he had miles of wilderness behind him, no problem.
Im suprised the pool company didn't ring to let them know he would be late
The home owner is in the wrong here. There was no threat of life here. The guy probably didn’t hear cause he had AirPods on.
On second thoughts this pool cleaner is quite a dumb and irresponsible person.
Hey John. Get cleaned up.
That's what surveillance camera's are for. Absolutely wild!
I'm not saying it should have been a felony but the shooter probably should have caught some charges.
After the first two rounds he wasn't hearing anything other than ringing in his ears.
Florida man strikes again
It’s 8 pm if that camera time stamp is correct.
Why are people so stupid?
